Plymouth Argyle vs AFC Wimbledon - Match Preview

After a mid-week game away to Wycombe Wonders on Tuesday, Plymouth Argyle will return to Home Park when they take on AFC Wimbledon today, Saturday 6th October 2012.  The loan deals of strikers Guy Madjo and Alex MacDonald both end after the final whistle today.  Carl Fletcher will be looking to extend the loan deals for the pair after Argyle have taken on Aldershot Town in the Johnstone Paint Trophy at Home Park on Tuesday Evening a 7pm kick-off.  The reason for this is because Madjo wouldn’t be allowed to play against his parent club and as for MacDonald; he can’t play in any cup games as he is on loan from Burnley. Fletcher has 5days after their loan deals expire to extendthem for after month or longer.

After a change of manager for The Dons-AFC Wimbledon, the players will be looking to impress the gaffer to secure a place in the squad come 3 O’clock this afternoon.

Durrell Berry will be looking to come straight back into the starting 11 after missing the mid-week game at Wycombe because of suspension for picking up 5yellow cards in previous league games.  If this is the case Curtis Nelson who took Durrell’s position on Tuesday will be dropped to the bench.  Ross Jenkins who was brought to Home Park on loan from Watford would be eager to make his home debut against the Wombles this afternoon. Ross was ruled out of last Saturdays 1-1 draw to Southend United through a groin injury that he had picked up late on in last Thursdays training session.  Both Warren Feeney and Guy Madjo will be looking to keep their positions safe after their hard working displays in previous games that have awarded both players with goals.
